1. GOal Play: Sports Discover & Sports Grow | ||

Provides the opportunity for students to participate in sports competition to learn values such as Graciousness, Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Integrity and Teamwork. This is an annual event where students will represent their Houses to compete in Sports and Games.

Values Through Sports Programme | ||

Provide a platform for students to demonstrate good sportsmanship & GR3IT through game play during PE lessons. Students will then complete a reflection based on what they have learnt and experience in the Reflection Booklet.

Sports Education Programme (SEP) | ||

SEP is a collaborative partnership between Sport Singapore (SportSG) and the School. The SEP aims to advocate the importance of sports education, encourage sports participation in the school and increases the sporting opportunities for the students. SEP enhances pupils’ learning experience and interest in sports by exposing them to activities not included in the school’s CCAs or PE curriculum. More importantly, the SEP sports programmes caters for development of skills and sports knowledge of students and help promote active participation of sports in schools. The programmes also promote team spirit and character building, and aim to arouse interest in continual sports participation amongst students.

Active YN Recess Play | ||
Provides a safe and inclusive environment for all pupils regardless of their strengths and starting points to try out and participate in the different types of games and modified games. This is in line with the nationwide initiative to promote healthy lifestyle amongst Singaporeans. Research studies have shown that getting children to be more active has benefits, as obesity rates among schoolchildren have risen in recent years, from 10 per cent in 2000 to 12 per cent in 2014. Special games and/or mass exercises are organised to encourage pupils of all levels to take part. Sports equipment are available for loan during recess to encourage self-directed and ‘unstructured’ play.

P2 Talent Identification Programme (Sports) | ||
Provides opportunity for selected P2 students to gain greater exposure and experience to the expected rigor and demand of the sporting CCA of their choice and interest. Selected P2 will be invited to participate in the CCA enrichment in their talented area. At the end of the training, those with potential will be invited to join the CCA when they are in P3. However, they still need to go through the CCA selection process and choose a CCA of their choice.

2. GOal Ambassadors: Sports Cheer & Sports Inspire | ||
P6 Sports Carnival | ||
Leverage sports as a vehicle for P6 students to contribute towards Values-In-Action and to hone their leadership competencies. The P6 students will work in groups to design and create a game or sports for the carnival. They are also required to man a booth to promote their games to the school. It is also fund raising carnival where all proceeds go to charity.

The Co-Curriculum Activities (CCAs) | ||
To provide pupils with opportunities to put the ‘values-in-action’ (VIA), so that they can contribute and make a difference to the community. Pupils are also given opportunities to take the lead to contribute to the school and the community.

Sports Motivational Talk & Learning Journeys | ||
This programme is opened only to students from Sports CCAs, To inspire in our students through sports sharing, appreciation and experiential learning. They will be invited to a learning journey to visit places such as Sports Museum, Sports Hub and/or Sports School to know our Past, appreciate our Present and understand our Future in sports development.

3. GOal Global: Sports Connect | ||
World of Sports | ||
To heighten cultural and global awareness in our students through sports education and appreciation. Lessons will be carried out to introduce world major sporting events to our students via SLS and assembly talks.

Sports & Cultural Immersion Programme | ||

To enhance global awareness in our students through sports education, experiential learning and cultural appreciation. Also to develop 21st century competencies such as global awareness and cross-cultural skills in our students so as to prepare them to thrive in the age of globalisation. Selected students in this programme will have a formal visit to our overseas partner school(s) and interact with their counterparts. Our students will attend lessons to experience life as a student there and participate in Sports to exchange pointers. They will also be engaged in cultural and hands-on activities which allow them to have fun and at the same time have a better understanding of their culture.
