|Character & Leadership Development|
|Character is the foundation for success. For our students to achieve their goals and do well academically, they need to have sound values that will guide them in their decision making. We also want our students to be leaders of self and of others and be nurtured as leaders of tomorrow
|Every Yu Neng-nite is different and it is important to cater to their various needs so that our students are able to feel happy coming to school and develop a sense of purpose. This is done through the emphasis on positive teacher and peer relationships as well as promoting positive student behaviours, and strengthening students’ mental health and resilience.
|The best resource that Singapore has is her people. Hence, we want our students to grow from having only personal responsibility to being social justice-oriented citizens who actively seek solutions to problems for the common good and contribute back to society.
Total Defence is our nation’s strongest defence and everyone has a part to play to protect and defend our home. This year, we mark Total Defence Day as Singapore fights the COVID-19 pandemic. Our students were taught to stay resilient and be socially responsible by carrying out the wipe-down routine during recess and supporting each other through this challenging times.
